Porter Robinson Turned Dreams Into Reality At Second Sky Festival [REVIEW]

After it was revealed that Porter Robinson would be curating his own festival, it nearly broke the internet. The chance or even the thought that one of the most influential artists in electronic music would be doing things his way for one full weekend in Oakland, California left fans starstruck. The possibilities were endless with Second Sky Festival as fans anticipated a large showcase of Porter’s tastemaking abilities.

A lineup consisting of  Porter Robinson, MadeonCashmere CatG JonesNina Las Vegas, Chrome Sparks, Kero Kero Bonito, Anamanaguchi, Wednesday Campanella, and Virtual Self was aimed to expand the tastes of the thousands of music lovers in attendance. Offering various styles of music, Porter’s curating abilities proved worthy as there wasn’t one set that didn’t leave fans entertained. Whether it was Wednesday Campanella’s obstruct fan interactions, KKB’s wicked stage presence, or Anamanguchi’s amazing visuals; it all tied together to create an experience people wouldn’t forget.

With over 8 thousand in attendance and over 30 thousand watching at home, there’s no denying the influence the festival had over the electronic music community. Stream Sets From Day 1 Of Porter Robinson’s First-Ever Second Sky Festival

Although Porter Robinson‘s first-ever Second Sky Music Festival quickly sold out, fans will still be able to experience it thanks to the official live stream via Twitch. Though live stream set times have yet to be released, the live stream will air tonight from 4pm-10pm PST. The festival will host performances by both Porter Robinson as well as his Virtual Self alias, in addition to sets by Madeon, Cashmere Cat, G Jones, and more. However, the live stream will only feature sets by Nina Las Vegas, Wednesday Campenella, Anamanaguchi, Chrome Sparks, Kero Kero Bonito, G Jones, and Porter Robinson’s special Worlds performance. After calling Oakwood Beach on Chicago’s South Side home for 4 years  Mamby On The Beach, in Chicago, is moving North to Montrose Beach. But a new venue for a music festival is nothing without an incredible lineup – so Mamby came prepared. This year’s fest will take place August 23-24 for two days of incredible music on the beach right next to Lake Michigan.

Miami Music Week 2019 Was Everything You’d Dream Of It Being [REVIEW]

Miami Music Week was a grand success. Offering a variety of hectic pool parties, afterparties, and exclusive label showcases. It’s a giant culmination of everything that will transpire the coming year in electronic music. Kicking off the festival season in big fashion, we wanted to highlight some of the best parties you may or may not have missed out on in Miami Music Week this year.

Drumcode took over Club Space for an extensive party that lasted till 6pm the next day. Bringing in heavy hitters from their lucrative roster like ANNA, Dubfire, and Adam Beyer; techno enthusiasts were treated to a night they wouldn’t forget.

Brownies & Lemonade held their annual Miami Music Week party and this time they truly outdid themselves. Hosting the legendary return of Dog Blood, this stacked lineup brought a sold out crowd to Mana Wynwood for a night full of surprises.

SHAQ’s Fun House was the exclusive soiree that guests had hoped for. With only limited high-priced tickets being sold, the buck definitely proved itself worthy. The surprise lineup brought out DJs like Kaskade, Diplo, Armin Van Buuren, Oliver Heldens, and more.. surrounded by celebrities, open bars, carnival games, and food.. not sure what else you can expect from the Diesel himself. It was one of the most insane nights and those who were there to witness it unfold would say the same.
