It’s been no surprise that we’ve watched Alison Wonderland on the bill of most major festivals this season. Continuing to dominate EDM, Alison Wonderland previewed her unreleased collaboration with QUIX during her closing HARDer Stage set at last weekend’s HARD Summer.
The track, supposedly titled “Time,” sounds like an absolute heater according to fan videos. With Flume-like flutters complimenting the hard-hitting bass sounds the two producers are known for, “Time” is going to be one of the year’s biggest collaborations. Since dropping the track at HARD Summer, both Alison Wonderland and QUIX have each hinted that they’re dropping new music next week, and we don’t think it’s a coincidence. ZHU has taken to social media today to announce that he has a “couple new collabs otw.” Fans have eagerly awaited new music from ZHU since last year’s impeccable Ringos Desert album. ZHU kicked off the year with an addicting collaboration alongside electro-pop duo SOFI TUKKER but has not released anything else since January. In that time, fans have received few hints regarding ZHU’s new music until today’s announcement.
Back in March, ZHU denied rumors of a potential collaboration with Disclosure, but carefully worded his tweet by stating, “this currently does not exist.”
Later in April, NGHTMRE previewed his unreleased collaboration with ZHU at Space Yacht, and this could serve as another one of ZHU’s upcoming releases. ZHU’s announcement today comes perfectly timed to correspond with the release of DJ Snake’s Carte Blanche tracklist. DJ Snake has confirmed today that his anticipated collaboration with ZHU, titled “No More,” will appear on his forthcoming album Carte Blanche. “No More” with DJ Snake will arrive Friday, July 26th. DJ Snake‘s long-awaited sophomore album has been one of the most highly-anticipated releases of the year. Titled Carte Blanche, DJ Snake’s 17-track followup to his 2016 debut Encore will feature some of the biggest names across electronic, pop, and hip-hop music. Carte Blanche will include DJ Snake’s previously released tracks “Magenta Riddim,” “South Side,” and “Try Me,” along with his hit singles “Taki Taki,” “Enzo,” and “Loco Contigo.” As for the project’s unreleased tracks, Carte Blanche will feature appearances from Zomboy, ZHU, Majid Jordan, Bryson Tiller, Sean Paul, Annita, Burna Boy, and Gashi. The album will also feature a mega-collab alongside Snake’s fellow Pardon My French DJs Tchami, Malaa, and Mercer. Carte Blanche drops this Friday, July 26th. Today, Dillon Francis revealed that the track, titled “Drip,” will be releasing this week. “Drip” will also feature “Panda” rapper Desiigner.
