QUIX Drops Unexpected 4-Track 'IDK [Vol. 1]' EP [LISTEN]

QUIX Drops Unexpected 4-Track ‘IDK [Vol. 1]’ EP [LISTEN]

QUIX just dropped a sick new EP upon us and our jaws are on the floor!

The producer’s latest body of work, IDK, feels like a collection of random bangers all linked together cohesively through QUIX’s signature sound. The track titles only lend to the spontaneous nature of this release — “Huhhh,” “FON,” “Fiji Day 4” and “My house is IKEA.”

As with any QUIX release, the sound design is next level. Track after track, QUIX takes us on a thrilling, trap-infused ride. Three heavy hitters, all topped off by a light, playful take on drum and bass. From start to finish, IDK is a breath of fresh air.

Being that this is IDK [Vol. 1], we can expect more volumes to follow in the series.

Listen below and let us know what you think!

RL Grime Drops 2019 Halloween Mix With Guy Fieri

RL Grime Drops 2019 Halloween Mix With Guy Fieri

It’s the most~ wonderful time~ of the year~

No, it’s not Christmas. It’s Halloween and RL Grime just dropped his annual mix just moments ago. This year, the intro duty was given to none other than Guy Fieri — it’s hard to conceive how the two came into contact, or how Fieri even agreed to jump on the mix, but we’re definitely not complaining.

The one-hour mix goes through the usual variety of trap and hip hop, mixing in dark beats and sinister vibes along the way. YouTube impressionist and Vine star Jake Foushee also makes an appearance, as well as the granddaddy of them all, RL Stein.

Check out the mix below, tracklist coming soon. Also find tickets to see RL Grime live on tour here.

Josh Cassidy Flips RL Grime's Edit Of TNGHT's "Acrylics" For A Wild Live Set Banger [Free Download]

Josh Cassidy Flips RL Grime’s Edit Of TNGHT’s “Acrylics” For A Wild Live Set Banger [Free Download]

I can generally break down EDM tracks into two categories: those that sound better in live settings, and those that I’d generally only listen to at home. Of course there’s some overlap between the two, as well. But for the purpose of being a music critic, the former category doesn’t typically get much love from me — unless it’s that good.

Enter Josh Cassidy with a massive flip of RL Grime’s edit of TNGHT’s “Acrylics.” As much of a mouthful as that is, this flip is one that will surely have people at any show wondering what the hell is happening. The intense bass and super high-pitched synths are guaranteed to have a positive effect on the crowd. But, as I said before, just sitting at home in my desk chair with a glass of water at my side, it doesn’t feel like the right setting.

That’s good news, actually, since Excision, G-Rex, and more have already been playing out his songs live in their sets. Check out Cassidy’s flip below to see if it’s right for your set and download here.

Your EDM Premiere: Audigy Closes New Tour with 'Lit AF' VIP mix and Insane Tour Recap

Your EDM Premiere: Audigy Closes New Tour with ‘Lit AF’ VIP mix and Insane Tour Recap

Audigy has dropped a whole lot of dubstep goodness and just in time for Halloween! The producer and DJ from South Florida delivers his latest adventures in his new tour recap video with the added bonus of a new VIP mix for his single “Lit AF” with Rico Act out now on Power House Records.

The new VIP of “Lit AF” is a bombastic extension of the original. Without wasting any time, the VIP grabs the reigns and is ready to drop by the 30 second mark. From there, the track adjusts the first drop of the original’s complextro-like attitude and creates a tsunami of synths and bass. This song reminds me of the wrestling move known as the “Wall of Jericho” in how quickly the harsh whirs hold listeners into submission. In other words, the new Audigy VIP will give you something to headbang about.

On his latest tour, Audigy tested a batch of new material while making his way across the Sunshine State. He was the headlining performance for venues in Tampa, Gainesville, and Jacksonville. He also performed recently alongside bass music’s biggest stars such as Slander, Herobust, Spag Heddy, and Tsuruda across Miami, Orlando, and New York.

Make sure to check out the new VIP mix for “Lit AF” and the tour recap from Audigy. Also make sure to follow his Soundcloud to catch up on all the latest Audigy releases.

JEANIE Drops Her Deadliest Weapon to Date with "HEADSHOT" [LISTEN]

JEANIE Drops Her Deadliest Weapon to Date with “HEADSHOT” [LISTEN]

JEANIE has unleashed her most deadly weapon with “Headshot.”

Trap laced and gritty to its core, “Headshot,” doesn’t disappoint. The producer starts it off with a hypnotic vibe, prepping the senses for the gnarly bass drops that loom ahead.

It’s straight to the point — no over-the-top builds or exaggerated moments — just one seamless burst of creativity. Though there’s an obvious change up between softer and harder moments, there’s also a nonstop flow that leaves no room for interruptions.

JEANIE explains in her own words: “I wanted to create a track that had some interesting contrast with a soft intro and a hard-hitting drop. I tried to keep things simple, but heavy-hitting and it’s definitely been a fun one to play.”

Listen and link up. Also, check out JEANIE’s platform GRL GANG.

AHZ releases new single "It's Alive" alongside a can't miss Music Video!

AHZ releases new single “It’s Alive” alongside a can’t miss Music Video!

It’s no secret that October is a month of excitement. Fall is in the air, pumpkin and apple patches are abuzz, and Halloween is most certainly on its way. And while we all look forward to finding the perfect costume to trot out at the craziest parties of the year– we also look forward to a veer in the tone of the music that’s hitting the airwaves. A slightly darker, haunting sound that echoes the change of seasons. And if one track illuminates this vibe to the tee it is the newest single from Brody Jenner’s new band AHZ.

“It’s Alive” released on Friday with a music video that is sure to deliciously delight their fans! The track, which boasts scintillating vocals from lead singer Adam O’Rourke, is truly a journey of sound from top to bottom. It opens with a tantalizing, mysterious melody that quickly ramps up to an epic bass laden drop! Its combination of bolstered bass, distorted and interwoven glitch bites, and masterfully composed hit back to the melody create something that has never been done before. Utilizing their full range of instruments, the track brings in many elements of punk rock, like it’s unrivaled use of rippin’ drums, to set the song apart from anything happening in the Bass scene right now.

The music video uses all of these amazing elements, and seamlessly syncs up to a brilliantly mastered animated video that truly does bring the whole project to life! Created by Colin Lepper, the

Krewella Hard At Work On New Album Drop New Single, "Ghost"

Krewella Hard At Work On New Album Drop New Single, “Ghost”

Krewella are back to follow up August’s “Mana” with the powerful new single, “Ghost.”

The sisters’ strengths have always lied in songwriting and, as always, this single deals with a complex assortment of topics, an exploration of the fine line between loneliness and empowered independence, seamlessly wavering between cold, anguished and powerful while building towards a propulsive drop.

“A shiver of loneliness, covered by a hard impenetrable outer shell. Or a satisfying aloneness, strongly led by this strength of independence,” Krewella says of the track, which features a vocal sample of their father singing a Pakistani “Raga” chant. “That is the dance this song tiptoes between, and the line between is quite blurry.”

“We always strive to dissect our most inexplicable feelings, and this track lyrically and sonically embodies the notion of how far we’ll go to protect ourselves after catastrophe; how pain transforms us; how comforting it can be to find ourselves alone after the storm has passed,” Krewella continues. “We tapped in our good friend and producer Lucas Rego (Lookas) to lend his touch on this track, who we’ve worked previously with on our song ‘Be There’ and collaboration ‘Alarm.’”

The accompanying music video for “Ghost” toes the line between intimacy and excess as Krewella, donning barbed-wire masks, navigate moments of vulnerability and strobe-fueled exuberance. Watch the video for “Ghost,” directed by Lauren Dunn and Andrew Sandler, below:

Krewella is hard at work on a new album, but in the meantime, the sisters have lent their voices to

Perk Pietrek

Perk Pietrek – Flowers | Your EDM

The latest EP to be showcased on Quality Goods Records is an exceptional listen from Perk Pietrek. Having first been picked up by UZ back in 2017, Pietrek has established himself as one of the strongest and most forward-thinking trap producers on the scene right now.

After remixing UZ & Elliphant’s ‘Stockholm White’ (part of the album that was in the Top 25 Billboard chart), he has earned the approval of fellow artists like Marshmello and Skrillex. The first single from the EP, ‘Willow’ created a neat buzz, and there are a further four tracks on the EP, which is titled Flowers. Lulling you into softness is the intro cut ‘Bloodflower,’ soon contrasted by the quick-stepping ‘Error,’ which features Jordan Dennis on vocals.

Swan adds input to the hypnotic ‘Ivy’ and you are immediately swept away by the epic peaks and troughs on ‘Proxy’ with SAYVERE. ‘Willow’ closes the set with melodic intensity.

Flick through Flowers here.

Vincent & Naderi Team Up For Hype New Trap Collab, “Wasted Time”

The combination of Vincent and Naderi wasn’t one we were anticipating any time soon — or at all, honestly — but the result is nothing short of vivacious. “Wasted Time” is an easy throwback to the golden age of trap with heavy 808s and crisp snares.
