RL Grime is having one of his best years to date, and much his recent success comes from his newly founded Sable Valley imprint. Since its creation in February, Sable Valley has hosted ground-breaking releases and mixes by rising acts like Jackal, JAWNS, Cozway, and Jon Casey.
Taking one step further to solidify himself as trap’s go-to curator, RL Grime is hosting Sable Valley’s first-ever tour. Slated for this fall, the Research & Development Tour will feature Baauer, Boombox Cartel, WHIPPED Cream, Montell2099, Jackal, Kittens, and more. The 7-date tour will hit Brooklyn, Dallas, Denver, and Atlanta, with more dates to be announced. Check out the full dates below and sign up for pre-sale access to the Sable Valley tour.
Time and time again RL Grime impresses us with the energy and consistency he brings to every performance. In particular, this past weekend the NOVA producer stepped up in a big way with two of the biggest sets of his life back to back: Lollapalooza and HARD Summer. Today we’re bringing you audio from his performance from HARD and wow does it go hard (no pun intended). While the audio isn’t amazing (it’s ripped from the official youtube live stream) it’s good enough to hear how insane it was to be there. Stream it below and let us know your thoughts in the comments section.
RL Grime is really no stranger to leaving fans in awe after one of his performances. His sets are highly praised and always leave spectators wanting more. Continuously making headlines, the producer is back on scene for his recent set at Lollapalooza. Whilst dominating a crowd of thousands upon thousands, the video below appears to show a brand new ID from RL Grime that is worth all the chatter right now. Fans are speculating a potential collaboration with San Holo? Although it does sound like a perfect fusion of each others styles, there’s no denying that this track is a complete banger. Check for yourself.
HARD Summer is here and this year’s lineup is set to host some of the hottest electronic acts. Including performances by Major Lazer and Dillon Francis, and B2B sets by DJ Snake and Malaa, ZHU and Tchami, and more, HARD Summer 2019 is going to be one of the most talked-about festivals of the year.
We’ve compiled our list of ten must-see acts at this year’s two-day festival. Check out our ten can’t-miss HARD Summer performances below and let us know who you’ll be seeing in the comments.
Set Time: Sunday 10:00-11:00 PM @ HARDer Stage
RL Grime is making his grand return to HARD Summer. RL Grime always puts on a phenomenal performance and his HARD Summer set will be no different. The producer recently dropped an insane edit of G Jones’ “In Your Head” along with the promise of more edits to come, many of which are likely to be sprinkled throughout his performance.
Set Time: Saturday 10:00-11:00 PM @ HARDer Stage
Alison Wonderland is one of the best live performers in all of electronic music. She expertly combines live vocals, cello, and DJing into her sets and always leaves fans wanting more. Her Saturday night closing set on the HARDer Stage conflicts with some of the nights biggest sets like Kid Cudi, DJ Snake B2B Malaa, and GTA and Friends, but she’s definitely worth it.
Lollapalooza Day 3 is absolutely stacked. Not only do we get live streamed performances from RL Grime, and Gryffin, but the world debut of Madeon‘s new live show corresponding with his forthcoming Good Faith album is being streamed as well. For the second time in a row, RL Grime has won the Celebrity Pro-Am with Airwaks. For those unfamiliar, the notion of the Celebrity Pro-Am is simple. A professional Fortnite player gets paired with a celebrity for a chance to win a lot of money to be donated to the charity of their choice. Ninja and Marshmello won the first-ever Celebrity Pro-Am with RL Grime and Airwaks winning the next two. RL Grime once again has chosen the ACLU to receive his prize winnings.
