Insomniac Drops Insanely Stacked Lineup for Countdown NYE 2019

Insomniac Drops Insanely Stacked Lineup for Countdown NYE 2019

If you’ve been following Insomniac’s socials lately, you’ve probably been warned that there’s an impending alien invasion. It’s all going down on New Year’s Eve at the NOS Events Center in Southern California as Insomniac rings in 2020 with Countdown. Picking up from last year’s alien invasion theme, this year’s theme will be New Year’s Invasion 2.0. Insomniac also announced the lineup for this year’s event, and it’s, ahem, out of this world.

First and foremost, the name that stands out the most is The Chainsmokers. This marks the first time the smash-hit duo has performed at an Insomniac festival at NOS since Countdown three years ago. Now, with their expanded live set and status as one of the biggest musical acts in the world, this is sure to be a special performance. The rest of the lineup is pretty stacked too with the usual blend of EDM heavy hitters, bass, and house to please all kinds of tastes. Alesso, Porter Robinson (DJ Set), Galantis, Oliver Heldens, Gryffin (DJ Set), Chris Lorenzo and 12th Planet are some of the highlights.

Tickets for Countdown New Year’s Invasion 2.0 go on sale this Wednesday at 10 AM PT. Check out the full lineup and prepare for the alien invasion. Are they here to PLUR or probe? We’ll find out on New Year’s Eve.

Insomniac Donates $70,000 To Communities In Schools of Southern Nevada

Insomniac Donates $70,000 To Communities In Schools of Southern Nevada

This week, Rich Thomas, Insomniac’s Vice President of Culture and Content, visited Chaparral High School to celebrate the $70,000 donation to Communities In Schools of Southern Nevada, fundraised during the 2019 EDC Las Vegas Charity Initiative. Thomas shared an inspiring speech to the CIS Academy Class, touching on his career and personal journey and how passion and focus led him to where he is today – working with like-minded individuals for the world’s largest music festival brand.

“It was an honor to spend the morning yesterday at Chaparral High School and meet the amazing young adults in the CIS Academy Class,” says Thomas. “Insomniac and Communities In Schools of Southern Nevada share a very similar passion for creating environments where people can feel happy, welcomed, comfortable in their own skin, and surrounded by others who could very well be going through similar life events. To be seen for who you are and be lifted up by a community that believes in you is priceless and rare, and we feel very privileged to contribute to CIS’s mission through our EDC Las Vegas Charity Initiative.”

Prior to Thomas’ classroom visit, he stopped by the CIS Resource Room located on campus at Chaparral High School and met with CIS Site Coordinators, affiliates, partners and Chaparral administrators to discuss what the donation means to Insomniac and presented them with a custom totem that represents unity and togetherness, that stated “All Are Welcome Here.” During the discussion, a current Chaparral High School student shared

Electric Forest May Be Extended for 10th Anniversary Celebration in 2020

Electric Forest May Be Extended for 10th Anniversary Celebration in 2020

Electric Forest may be extended for next year and moving forward.

Rothbury’s Village Council met yesterday to discuss the future of the music festival, coming up on its 10th anniversary. The special meeting’s purpose was to “review and act on the application for a mass gathering permit by Electric Forest, LLC.”

Although the official minutes have not been uploaded to the village’s website yet, sources on Reddit say three major developments were agreed upon:

  • Early arrival on Tuesday
  • Music until 4 AM on Thursday, Friday and Saturday
  • 10-year extension for Electric Forest at current location

If all this is true, this is great news for Forest Family. Travelers from near and far have more time to stretch their legs. Plus, extended hours and an extra day most likely mean an even more massive lineup for 2020 and moving forward. Not to mention, more time in Sherwood Forest!

See details below and stay tuned for official confirmation from Electric Forest. See you in 2020!

Insomniac Drops Map and Set Times For Escape Psycho Circus 2019

Insomniac Drops Map and Set Times For Escape Psycho Circus 2019

Set times are officially out for Escape Psycho Circus, going down this Friday and Saturday at NOS Events Center in San Bernardino, CA. It’s always a joyous occasion whenever set times are released as headliners can revel in the joy of all the amazing music they’re about to witness. However, it can also be a time of sorrow when you see the time conflicts and all the acts you won’t be able to see. Nonetheless, the show must go on. We’re here to help you navigate the two days of Halloween-themed madness that is the Psycho Circus.

This year’s edition of the festival will feature a completely new layout and new stage designs. Gone are the Slaughterhouse, Ghoul’s Graveyard, Chopping Block, and Cannibal’s Tea Party. In are the Grimm, Psycho Circus, Sanitarium and Sewer District. There’s also a new central hub of the festival called Crazy Town. I am beyond excited to see what Insomniac has in store for us for this year’s edition of Escape.

Back to the set times. The Grimm will be hosting all of the heavy hitters over the weekend. Dillon Francis, Timmy Trumpet and Duke Dumont highlight Night 1 with deadmau5 closing things out. Night 2 highlights include Don Diablo, RL Grime and Alok, with Alesso closing out the weekend. The second stage is the Psycho Circus, Bassrush will be holding it down on Night 1 with a stacked lineup including Bear Grillz, Borgore, ATLiens, and the
