Deadmau5 & Dillon Francis Jump On Stage Together for Dance-Off To “Dancing Queen”

It always pays to start off your Monday morning on the right foot, and thankfully, Dillon Francis and Deadmau5 have us covered.

This past weekend at Escape: Pyscho Circus in Southern California, during Dillon’s main stage set, Deadmau5 hopped on stage to surprise him while he was playing ABBA’s “Dancing Queen.” The surprise from Dillon is perfectly genuine, but it’s what happens next that really warms our hearts.

Deadmau5 is the first one to jump on stage and goad Dilllon to jump up with him. Mau5 does a cute little dance and Dillon joins right along.

Check out the adorable video below for the perfect start to the week.

[PREMIERE] Showtek & Gammer Team Up On Wild New “EDM Sucks” Collaboration

Showtek and Gammer isn’t a duo I ever thought would fit on a collaboration, but 2019 is quickly proving to be a glitch in the matrix kind of year, and there are a lot of things I never thought would happen popping up. That being said, this combination absolutely fits, and “EDM Sucks” is a hilariously high quality take at main stage tropes.

The shock value in the vocal samples on the single isn’t by mistake either. Showtek says it’s always a goal in their music, “either by collaborating with artists people don’t expect us to work with, using different sounds or trying something completely new.” No doubt they’ve achieved that effect here.

“All we need is a cheesy singalong gimmick and a super generic, predictable halftime drop that every DJ wants to play. Are you ready?”

Of course the track title is a joke, and even though the song makes fun of itself, it still absolutely bangs. It’s the perfect 2014-style throwback tune that’s fit for the main stage but still packs a kick.

Gammer says of the single, “We needed to take the time to make fun of all the ‘seriousness’ that this industry has lately possessed and just go back to making music that feels right.”

Check out “EDM Sucks” below!

Area 51 Festival Founder Suing Alienstock Owners Over Branding, PornHub Sponsorship

Even though the Area 51 festival in Rachel, NV happened a month ago, we’re still learning more about the unintentional fallout from this real-life meme event. According to an exclusive report from 13 Investigates, Connie West, owner of the Little A’Le’Inn in Rachel, filed a lawsuit with Alienstock owner Matty Roberts and his business partner Frank DiMaggio just days after the event.

Under dispute are a litany of issues including trademark infringement, breach of contract, intentional interference, business disparagement, and defamation.

Roberts and DiMaggio released a joint statement on September 10 announcing they were “officially disconnecting” their support and the Alienstock brand from West’s event, which Roberts and DiMaggio had left her to produce under her insistence that she was capable of doing so.

“We will no longer offer our logo, social media, website or Matty Roberts likeness or scheduled appearance,” part of the statement read. “In short, the relationship has ended permanently, and AlienStock will be moving to a safe, clean secure area in Downtown Las Vegas as an alternative.”

Many media publications, Your EDM included, took this to mean AlienStock, at least in its original form, whether correctly or not, had been cancelled.

“We never told them anything was canceled out there, we just said the Alienstock brand and Matty Roberts would not be there,” explained DiMaggio during a Sept. 23 interview with 13 Investigates. The official Alienstock event eventually moved to the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center.

“It changed [the event] 100%, their campaign started at

Rolling Loud Hong Kong Cancelled Due To Security Concerns

Rolling Loud isn’t having the best week. After essentially being forced by the NYPD to pull five of its artists from their lineup, and then the co-founder going after EDM festivals on Twitter, the brand has been in the news for all the wrong reasons. Now, the brand’s debut festival in Hong Kong has been cancelled amidst security concerns.

This, at least, has nothing to do with Rolling Loud itself, but rather the ongoing protests in the city. The festival issued an official statement, “After consulting with security experts, it has been determined that it is not possible to organize the upcoming Rolling Loud Hong Kong edition as we had hoped without endangering the safety and well-being of our fans, artists, and staff.”

All tickets will be refunded.

RL Hong Kong was set to feature headline performances from Migos and Wiz Khalifa with support from Ski Mask The Slump God, $uicideboy$, Playboi Carti, and more. It was scheduled for this weekend, October 19-20.

Excision Shares Full 2 Hour Set From Lost Lands 2019

We’re now nearly three weeks after Lost Lands this year, and I’m sure some people are still wishing they were right there in Legend Valley in front of the Paradox headbanging their riddim hearts out. Sadly, it cannot be… BUT! In lieu of actually being there, Excision has finally released the HD stream of his 2-hour headlining set from Friday night.

The 2-hour set has nearly 120 tracks in it, making it nearly one track a minute. The wild pace alongside the already wild tracks is part of what makes an Excision set an Excision set and what makes them legendary. Of course, a lot of flow is sacrificed when you’re mixing that quickly, but there’s nothing wrong with having banger after banger, either.

Check out the full 2-hour set below! And scroll down to see the complete tracklisting via 1001tracklists.
