If you’ve caught RL Grime or G Jones lately, chances are you’ve heard RL Grime’s insane edit of “In Your Head.” Over the past few months, the two artists have been heavily teasing the edit online and at recent shows, creating a massive amount of hype around the release. Today, courtesy of RL Grime’s Sable Valley imprint, we’re finally getting our hands on the full edit and it does not disappoint. Letting his creative power reign free, the trap don pushes G Jones’s unique free-flowing bass masterpiece to the next level for a devastatingly hard edit that goes off live. – Peach Gallagher
What So Not is on absolute fire this year. Just a week and a half following his massive drum & bass track “OOGAHDAM!” with Diablo, What So Not has unleashed a wild remix of the Stranger Thingstheme song. JEANIE is back to strike once more. Delivering her harsh new single “Pharaoh“, the producer looks to instill fear amongst the dance music community. This track is obnoxious but in a good way. Offering a mystique atmosphere that is halted by gritty basslines and terrifying screeches, the sound design showcased here is enough to provide you with night terrors. This record bears all the hallmarks of the producer’s brand. Building up to potential greatness, “Pharaoh” is another integral piece in JEANIE’s evolving musical puzzle. It will be satisfying to watch her journey as she continues to prove herself worthy as one of bass music’s quickly emerging acts.
COFRESI is here to captivate listeners with the stunning visual aid of his latest single “Scars.” As he teams up with Luna Grey on this vibrant single, the two work meticulously to provide a dark and enchanting atmosphere that will surely win you over. The music video for the single perfectly embodies and captures the aura of this song’s message. As you are dealt with the inner struggles of a mental disorder at first hand, the video looks to relate with those trapped and drowning themselves in their own mind. By the end of the video, the character learns manages to cope with the drowning, signifying that there’s always a way to control the torment one may experience every day or so. “Scars” isn’t just another genre-defying track, it symbolizes power and self-control.
“Scars is a hybrid infusion of my production approach with Luna’s unique vocal styling. I wanted to give this song it’s own space & vibe while showcasing both our strengths as artists. Considering her abilities to rap and sing over any style, I structured the musical elements of this track to highlight her vocal prowess. Essentially a fusion of trap, bass, melody and hip-hop, this song transcends traditional elements of electronic music and crosses over into more of a pop-oriented sound. I’m happy with how it all came together and look forward to sharing this new sound with our fans.” – Cofresi

Casual T is gearing up for his debut “Lovers?” EP. Based on his romantic experiences, the prolific DJ / Producer creates exuberant soundscapes in contrast to perforating lyrical material. The case is made again with his latest single, “Wanderlove?.” The anthemic atmosphere puts the track’s thesis on a pedestal as the vocals simply inject you with energy. As you are lost in the thought of re-evaluation, the track’s processing and production are something to marvel as you are showcased the prowess of Casual T. Delivering another great taste of what’s to come, we can say that you must divert your attention to what the Austin-based producer has in store for us all.
