Elohim Surprises With Emotional BRAINDEAD EP

[ad_1]

Elohim has long spoken out regarding mental health awareness and consistently pushed the boundaries with her music to discuss her own mental health struggles. Her courageous efforts and relatable lyricism have left fans in adoration and she’s continued that trend with her gorgeous new BRAINDEAD EP. The project includes Elohim’s previously released single “TV” along with six brand new tracks. With all tracks written, performed, and produced by the sultry songstress, Elohim’s BRAINDEAD EP is a dreamy escape into her signature glitchy electro-pop.

In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, Elohim will be donating 100% of the May proceeds from her EP to a selection of charities focused on providing outreach and support for those suffering from mental health issues. She’s also gifted the release with a series of breathwork videos that correlate as guided meditation exercises with each of the EP’s tracks. Catch Elohim live this summer supporting Blackbear on tour and stream her BRAINDEAD EP below.

Braindead is a look into the beautifully broken minds of humans that face the challenges and struggles of mental health issues.  We all see the world differently. Braindead is a musical tapestry that I made for people to listen to and hopefully explore their hearts, mind, and the world they live in with less fear, more clarity, and less self-judgment. – Elohim

[ad_1]

Our 46th edition has landed with new remixes from Diplo, Flosstradamus, Mija, RAC, Party Pupils, Justice Skolnik, and more. Check out our favorite remixes of the week below and follow our Run The Remixes playlist on Spotify.

Lil Nas X – Old Town Road (feat. Billy Ray Cyrus) [Diplo Remix] | Stream

After announcing his newfound country star moniker Thomas Wesley, Diplo is back with new country-flavored music with an official remix of Lil Nas X’s viral sensation “Old Town Road.” The track arrives right after the producer’s Stagecoach Festival performance, where he brought out both Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus for a surprise performance of the track. As you’ll quickly hear, Diplo adds a ton of high-energy percussion to the record while still keeping the vibe of the original intact. Max Chung

NGHTMRE & A$AP Ferg – REDLIGHT (Flosstradamus Remix) | Stream

The dance music community exploded when NGHTMRE and A$AP Ferg collided on the potential festival anthem “Redlight.” The tracks obnoxious rap lines do the trick as it immediately injects you with energy. It was a given that the original would see renditions from many but the one to stick out from the pack is Flosstradamus‘ new remix. The trap icon adds a new height to the original and elevates its liveliness. Omar Serrano
