Swedish House Mafia Members Steve Angello & Sebastian Ingrosso Wipe Instagram Feeds

Remember when Swedish House Mafia completely wiped their Instagram account?

This was following the group’s 2018 reunion at Ultra Music Festival, just before they announced a wave of special shows and festival performances. The silent, almost cryptic message was hinting at something bigger. No one could have anticipated what Swedish House Mafia had planned.

Over a year later, it’s happening again. Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso have mysteriously wiped their Instagram accounts, leading many to believe they’re gearing up for something big (again). Interestingly enough, photos on Axwell‘s feed haven’t been deleted — at least not yet.

This could mean a number of things, or nothing at all. However, the chances that this is a coincidence are highly unlikely considering how strategic these artists are. The possibilities are endless.

What fans are really hoping for is new music. Recently Swedish House Mafia’s unreleased track “It Gets Better” was registered with ASCAP.

For now, we’re in the dark — but keep your eyes locked on their socials for more hints.

Rage Against The Machine Reuniting, Confirmed First Coachella Headliner For 2020

Just one day after My Chemical Romance announced their first reunion show in seven years, Rage Against The Machine has announced a reunion tour after eight years with five shows planned in 2020.

The news came via a new Instagram account that has since been verified as legitimate. Forbes confirmed, Wayne Kamemoto, a longtime associate of the band just said, “The band’s social media is accurate.”

The band hasn’t played together since their 2011 L.A. Rising show at the Los Angeles Coliseum. Guitarist Tom Morello, drummer Brad Wilk and bassist Tim Commerford teamed with Public Enemy’s Chuck D and Cypress Hill’s B-Real for Prophets Of Rage in May 2016. Frontman Zack de la Rocha has also reportedly been working on some solo material, though the last time he released anything was also in 2016.

Two of the dates revealed will be at Coachella, confirming them as the first headliners revealed for 2020. It will be interesting to see how the landscape of the festival changes with a more punk-centric and divisive headliner.

See the post and all dates below. Tickets will be available here.

Zeds Dead Drop New Deadbeats Radio Mix For Halloween

Zeds Dead Drop New Deadbeats Radio Mix For Halloween

Entering late into the Halloween mix race is Zeds Dead! One of my first times seeing the Canadian duo was at HARD Day of the Dead 2013 when they played atop a massive haunted house, so I have no doubt they can throw down a spooky mix along with the best of em. Thankfully, I didn’t have to listen very long to have my suspicions confirmed.

This is easily one of the spookiest mixes of the holiday, with “Monster Mash,” “Devil’s Den,” a “Thriller” mash up, the duo’s own “The Twilight Zone,” and more, including 1788-L’s new remix of the Halloween theme song. Track selection is only a part of the game when it comes to presenting a certain vibe within a mix, but Zeds Dead have it down to a science.

Check out the full mix below!

Tracklist:
Stranger Things – Main Theme (JACKNIFE Bootleg)
Rezz & Malaa – Criminals
Zeds Dead – Demons

Getter Drops Emotional New Original “Heartless” [MUST LISTEN]

Getter is taking those Visceral vibes and running with them, as heard in his latest single out today.

“Heartless” showcases Getter’s ability to effortlessly shift from genre to genre, making for something truly raw and real. Our brains scramble to make sense of it — he starts with a four on the floor house beat, and then — wait, what is he doing? It’s better to let go of all that and listen.

“Heartless” is simply beautiful and deeply emotional, letting us in on yet another side of Getter we’re not fully accustomed to. His focus is on the music, not on the ways we try to define it — originality at its best.

And, we like to think this is a low key middle finger to all those who hated on Visceral.

Listen to “Heartless” below and belt out the lyrics:

Cut my heart out
We’ll never work it out
But we keep trying
And you keep crying
Feels like I’m frozen
You think I’m chosen
Please don’t start this
Maybe I’m heartless

Axwell Drops Fiery New Remix For Halsey’s “Graveyard”

Axwell brings a different kind of Halloween vibe this year with his new remix of “Graveyard” by Halsey.

This combo isn’t a total surprise, but it’s still somewhat unexpected. Axwell teased an unnamed remix a little over a week ago and dropped this one on fans today. Not only are Halsey’s vocals pitched down for a bit of a darker vibe, the entire vibe of the song is thoroughly reimagined.

The original “Graveyard” was as close to a singer/songwriter masterclass as you get, with acoustic guitar, soft electronic pads, and Halsey’s enchanting vocals. As soon as Axwell got his hands on it, the electronic aspect was pushed to its limits with the Swedish house star at the helm. Vocals were chopped and screwed and the quaint songwriting and composition was replaced with a dirty bassline fit for dark clubs at 3am.

Check out the remix below, and catch Halsey on tour here.

Martin Garrix Drops Strangely Pleasant Song “Used To Love” For Halloween

Everyone today is dropping spooky tracks or mixes in celebration of Halloween — except for Martin Garrix. Honestly, it’s hard to tell if there’s a spooky bone in the wholesome Dutch boy’s body, and his new song with Dean Lewis, “Used To Love,” reinforces the suspicion that there isn’t.

“Used To Love” is the usual Garrix fare, with some quaint vocal chops in the drop and an non-intrusive melody. Lewis’ voice never really stands out from the production, which itself never really reaches any sort of crescendo. It’s a lot like his songs “No Sleep” with BONN or “There for You” with Troye Sivan, showing off a more mellow side to his sound, rather than the firework-inducing main stage bangers most people know him for.

Check out “Used To Love” from Martin Garrix and Dean Lewis below, out now on STMPD RCRDS. Catch Martin Garrix on tour here.

Rezz Drops New Collab with Malaa During Freaky Deaky Performance [WATCH]

Rezz & Malaa Ring In Halloween With Their Epic Collab, “Criminals”

There’s lots of new music to tune into this Halloween. Between new 1788-L, RL Grime, Martin Garrix, and more, it can be hard to choose. That being said, for Rezz and Malaa fans, the choice is clear.

With each successive listen, the intricacies make themselves more and more clear, from the vocal work to the tiny little background synths that give it that really spooky ambiance.

Check out “Criminals” below! You can find tickets to see Rezz on tour here, and Malaa here.
