Galantis Cancels All Shows “Until Further Notice” Due To Injury

Galantis has announced that they are cancelling all shows until further notice as member Christian Karlsson heals from an injury.

The announcement was made just moments ago on the group’s social media pages, referencing two torn ligaments by Karlsson sustained during a performance in Seoul, Korea last weekend.

Karlsson: “I’m heartbroken to have to cancel upcoming performances, and deeply apologize to our fans. I’ll be taking this time to fully recover and look forward to seeing you all back on the road with Linus as soon as possible.”

The duo’s next scheduled performance was next Friday, November 8, in Baltimore, followed by stops in Louisville, KY and Charlotte, NC. The latter two shows are already listed as cancelled; Friday’s show should follow suit soon.

Rolling Loud Hong Kong Cancelled Due To Security Concerns

Rolling Loud isn’t having the best week. After essentially being forced by the NYPD to pull five of its artists from their lineup, and then the co-founder going after EDM festivals on Twitter, the brand has been in the news for all the wrong reasons. Now, the brand’s debut festival in Hong Kong has been cancelled amidst security concerns.

This, at least, has nothing to do with Rolling Loud itself, but rather the ongoing protests in the city. The festival issued an official statement, “After consulting with security experts, it has been determined that it is not possible to organize the upcoming Rolling Loud Hong Kong edition as we had hoped without endangering the safety and well-being of our fans, artists, and staff.”

All tickets will be refunded.

RL Hong Kong was set to feature headline performances from Migos and Wiz Khalifa with support from Ski Mask The Slump God, $uicideboy$, Playboi Carti, and more. It was scheduled for this weekend, October 19-20.

Shaky Beats Suddenly Announces It Will Not Return In 2020

Shaky Beats Music Festival, held annually in Atlanta, GA, has just suddenly announced it will not return in 2020.

The EDM off-shoot of sister festival Shaky Knees began in 2016 with headlining sets from Major Lazer, Odesza, and Big Gigantic, making it a quick favorite among locals, especially in the absence of TomorrowWorld, which had its final year the year prior.

No reason was given for the decision as the festival thanked fans who “attended, celebrated, and danced” over the years. It’s unclear if the festival is just taking a break in 2020 or is being shelved permanently. Your EDM has reached out to representatives for Shaky Beats for comment.

See the official announcement below.

Shaky Beats Music Festival will not return in 2020. We would like to thank all of the fans who attended, celebrated, and danced with us at Shaky Beats over the last few years. 💗
