ADE 2020 Dates Already Announced

Just like that, another year of biggest electronic music conference and festival has come to a close. Amsterdam Dance Event, aka ADE, wrapped up it’s 24th edition last Sunday. This year played host to 400,000 visitors from a record-breaking 146 countries, more than 2,500 artists, and 600 conference speakers across those five days. The streets were alive with the shared passion for electronic music and a thriving industry. The organizers didn’t skip a beat once the city had quieted either, they have already officially announced the dates for the 2020 event!

Their 25th addition will take place during the third week of October as usual, specifically from Wednesday, October 21st to Sunday, October 25th. With these dates being official people have already begun to snag up accommodations across the city of Amsterdam so if you hoping to make the trek over there next year you better start planning ASAP!

We can’t wait to return for another year already!

Martin Garrix Debuts New “ETHER” Show At ADE, Closes Set With B2B From David Guetta & Tiësto

Last night in Amsterdam, Martin Garrix debuted his new live show “ETHER” at RAI Amsterdam. He’ll do the same tonight, but the first night was especially epic as the first-ever reveal of the show, and especially because of how it ended.

Toward the very end of his set, Garrix brought up Tiësto and David Guetta onto the stage, both of whom have served faithfully as mentors of the young producer since his early days as a DJ.

“If it wasn’t for these two guys, I wouldn’t be making music, I wouldn’t be Martin Garrix,” he says as drops into Tiesto & SEVENN’s “Boom.” The three would continue to play together until the end of the night.

See a snipped of the massive B2B2B below!!

Tiësto Receives Absolutely MASSIVE Plaque In Celebration Of 4.5 Billion Global Streams

There are a LOT of events, gatherings, and shows going on in Amsterdam this weekend, both for the music industry and music fans alike. Ahead of the Amsterdam Music Festival and DJ Mag Top 100 reveal tomorrow, during which Tiësto will undoubtedly retain his position in the top 10, he received an absolutely massive plaque from his label, Universal Music Group.

The plaque was bequeathed unto Tiësto in celebration of 4.5 billion global streams, which is a huge number no matter how big an artist you are. But the true craziness of the plaque (pictured below) is just how absolutely massive it is.

For reference, Tiësto is 6’2″. Standing next to the plaque, it has to be at least five feet tall on its own, if not more, and perhaps two and a half feet wide. The Dutch DJ’s caption reads, “How do you think I should get this home?!” And that’s a damn good question!!

You can listen to his latest single, “God Is A Dancer” with Mabel, below. Released less than a month ago, it already has nearly 15 million streams on its own.

San Holo x What So Not Debut New Collaboration At ADE

San Holo x What So Not Debut New Collaboration At ADE

San Holo’s label bitbird held their ADE showcase last night with sets from the whole label, including San Holo himself, DROELOE, Duskus, Eastghost, and more. It also included a set from What So Not, as the two have previously collaborated on “If You Only Knew,” from WSN’s 2018 album.

During the show last night, the two came on stage together to premiere a new song for the first time. We’ve known the two were recording a second song since earlier this year, but to finally hear it now is something truly vibrant.

Check out the still untitled collaboration below!
